Can candidates challenge the questions after the exam?

Yes, candidates can challenge the questions by paying a fee of Rs. 500/- per question.

What happens if the challenge is accepted?

If the challenge is accepted, the candidate will receive a refund of the fee paid for the challenge, and appropriate actions will be taken from our end.

Will the fee be refunded if the challenge is not accepted?

No, the fee will not be refunded if the challenge is not accepted.

Are physical calculators allowed during the exam?

No, physical calculators are not allowed. However, candidates can access an online calculator during the exam.

When will the applications open for next batch?

The applications for the next batch will open from 17th April 2025.

How and where can I apply to the program?
I have trouble filling/submitting my application form.

Can I edit my application form after submitting it?

An application form can be edited till it has been ‘submitted’. The form will be considered as ‘submitted’ only after the application fee payment is made and payment details has been entered into the form and then submitted. Until then, candidates may edit the contents of their application form as they wish.Once the application fee has been submitted, editing the application form will not be allowed.  

Will my application fee be refunded?

No. Application fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. Even if you happen to pay the fee to the bank and fail to submit the application form the fee will not be refunded. Please pay the application fee only if you are sure you intend to take the examination.

What is the IIMB DBE Entrance Test?

The IIMB DBE Entrance Test (Undergraduate Entrance Test) is a computer-based test conducted by IIM Bangalore for admission for the online BBA programme. It tests candidates for:
1. Quantitative Aptitude + Data Interpretation 
2. Verbal Ability + Reading Comprehension 
3. Logical and Analytical Reasoning
4. General Awareness

Can I take the test at a location of my choice?

It is a computer-based test conducted in specified centres across India. You can select centres that are closest to you. 

Where will the test centres be located?

Test centres will be located in various cities to accommodate candidates from different regions. 
List of the cities is given below:
Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata, Delhi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Dehradun, Jaipur, Srinagar, Mohali, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ernakulam, Chennai-South, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Bhopal, Indore.

Do I get to choose the centre or will I be allocated one?

You will get to indicate your preferred location/ test centre in the application.

Can I change my test centre after registration?

No, it is not possible as our logistics will be affected.

What happens if I miss the entrance test?

You have to wait for the next announcement of the programme and re-apply in 2026.

Where can I practice for the entrance exam?

Sample question paper is available on the website for your reference. It contains a list of indicative questions similar to ones that may appear in the actual test.

What is the duration of the IIMB DBE entrance test?

The duration of the test is 90 minutes.  You will be required to answer 60 questions across multiple sections.

How will candidates receive their test results after completing the centre-based exam?

You will receive all updates on your registered E-mail. Please mention your correct email id to avoid confusion and this will be used for end to end process of admissions.

Will there be any provision for result verification or re-evaluation?

The answer key will be made available after  the results are published.  Candidates may request for re-evaluation for a non-refundable fee of Rs. 500 within a stipulated period of time.   The fee is refunded if the objection is accepted.

Will there be any sectional cut-off or sectional time limit?

Yes, there will be a sectional cut-off. It subject to Management discretion.

What is the programme fee structure?

The programme fee will be collected term-wise. Detailed information regarding the fee structure can be found in the website:  https://dbe.iimb.ac.in/admissions/

What is the mode of payment?

We accept any form of valid payments made through UPI, Debit/Credit card, or Netbanking.

Does IIMB provide financial aid/ scholarship for this program?

Management is giving 50% financial support as per the statutory legal for SC, ST, and DA candidates. As well the NC-OBC and EWS category may get financial aid as per their family income, last batch students got support between 15-18%. The management is the deciding authority to support for the NC-OBC and EWS candidates.

Will I be issued an ID card?

All registered students shall be issued suitable credentials of identification for access to digital resources and for any Exam facilities.

What is the frequency of intake to the programme?

There will be only one intake batch this year.

When will the applications open for this year?

The application link will be active from 17th April 2025, 11:00am till 17th June 2025 11:59pm.

Will I have access to the IIMB campus facilities after enrolling?

No. This is a completely online programme. Learners will not have access to the IIMB campus.

What is the threshold limit family income for NC-OBC/EWS category?

As per the statutory terms family income should not be more than Rs. 8 lakhs.

What are the documents to be provide to claim the NC-OBC/EWS category

Non Creamy layer certificate by the competent authority for NC-OBC category, and Income Certificate by the competent authority for EWS category which should be on or after 01/04/2025, documents earlier to this date will be rejected and candidates will treat as General category

Which part of the JEE/CUET scores are considered for BBA(DBE) admissions?

For BBA(DBE) admissions, only the General Test (Section III) scores from CUET (UG) 2023, 2024, or 2025 are considered. JEE Main scores from 2023, 2024, or 2025 are also accepted.

How are candidates with JEE/CUET scores considered in the admission process?

Candidates will be considered based on the best of either their JEE/CUET scores or the IIMB Entrance Test scores for the next stage of the admission process.

Are JEE/CUET scores alone sufficient for admission to the BBA(DBE) program?

No, JEE/CUET scores alone do not guarantee admission to the program.

Do candidates with JEE/CUET scores also need to take the BBA(DBE) entrance exam?

There is no compulsion for candidates with JEE/CUET scores to take the entrance exam; however, they may choose to do so.

How can candidates awaiting their CUET results apply for the BBA(DBE) program? What is the last date to submit the scorecard?

Candidates can apply for the program without entering their CUET details initially and must submit their scorecard by 31st July 2025.

How can candidates awaiting their Class 12 results register for the BBA(DBE) program? What is the last date to submit the marksheet?

Candidates can register for the program without entering their Class 12 details initially and must submit their marksheet by 31st July 2025.

Am I eligible to apply for the program without a Class 12 marksheet?

Yes, you can apply without the marksheet but must submit it before 31st July 2025.

Is there a cutoff score/percentile for JEE/CUET candidates?

No, there is no cutoff score or percentile for this admission cycle.

Can DA (Differently Abled) candidates apply under other categories?

No, DA candidates should select DA as their main category and provide the required sub-category details.

Are there any alternative entry points other than the DBE Entrance Test?

We have revised our eligibility criteria. It is now as follows :

You could take the IIMB Entrance test.

OR

You can apply with your 

·         2023, 2024, or 2025 CUET (UG) General Test scores (i.e., only Section III) 

·         2023, 2024, or 2025 JEE Main scores.
