Job Title: Associate – Community Management

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a full-time Associate to lead community engagement and event execution efforts for the BBA(DBE) programme. This role is pivotal in building a vibrant, inclusive learner community across India, fostering meaningful peer-to-peer interactions, and coordinating impactful events that strengthen student experience, alumni relations, and outreach.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant work experience in community management, student affairs, event operations, or youth engagement.
  • Proven experience in managing large, distributed communities and executing both virtual and in-person events.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in English, with cultural sensitivity and an understanding of diverse student audiences.
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, Trello, Notion, and community platforms like WhatsApp Business, Discord, Slack, or Circle.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and facilitation skills, with the ability to independently manage deadlines and stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Experience with youth-centric brands, educational institutions, student-led initiatives, or community-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with event and community engagement platforms such as Airmeet, Townscript, or similar.
  • Ability to manage conflict, moderate digital conversations, and foster trust in online communities.
  • Understanding of digital-first learner experiences and modern engagement practices.

Job Roles:

  • Design and implement a community engagement strategy across platforms like WhatsApp, email, and regional forums to enhance student belonging.
  • Maintain active relationships with zonal representatives, student volunteers, and community stakeholders to drive participation.
  • Plan and coordinate community campaigns, discussion threads, virtual town halls, and student-led initiatives.
  • Manage end-to-end planning and execution of national offline events and virtual engagements.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams for logistics, operations, and compliance
  • Develop event schedules, briefs, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee onboarding and integration of new students through curated communication and orientation support.
  • Lead communication for events, including speaker coordination, outreach, registrations, and follow-ups.
  • Track community and event engagement metrics, gather feedback, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure brand consistency, inclusivity, and alignment with the ethos of IIM Bangalore’s BBA(DBE) programme across all community interactions.
  • Support integration of online community engagement with offline events, alumni interactions, and social media presence.
