NOVA 2024, organized by IIM Bangalore’s BBA DBE program, was a
unique online fest held in the first term. Bringing together students
from eight zones, it featured 14 engaging events, fostering creativity,
teamwork, and networking.
Event Highlights
• Live Events: Illusion Inc. (business scams), Knowledge Knock-Out
(quiz), The Last Dinner (BGMI tournament), Groove (dance), and
Anything Vocal (music).
• Submission-Based Events: Clash of Contents (Instagram
content), Zanthem (anthem creation), Innovision (startup
pitches), Spotlight (photography), Ad-Addict (branding), Reel
Vibes (short films), Design Dynamo (digital design), and more.
Personal Experience & Achievements
I contributed to Clash of Contents, creating content on regional
startups. It was an exciting journey where I got to tell the stories of
budding businesses from my region, sharpening my storytelling skills
and giving me a deeper appreciation for entrepreneurship.
In Zanthem, our West Zone 1 won by crafting an anthem that
reflected our cultural diversity. The process of working together on
lyrics & music made us realize the richness of our varied
backgrounds.Winning this event was not just about competition but
about celebrating our shared identity.
Beyond these events, collaborating with new peers, exchanging
creative ideas, and overcoming challenges in a virtual setting
fostered a strong sense of connection among zone members. As the
first interzonal event of the course, NOVA 2024 brought an energy
and camaraderie that made the online format feel just as immersive
and engaging as an in-person college experience.
