Backed by over a decade of experience in delivering high-quality online education through IIMBx, IIM Bangalore ensures an exceptional learning experience. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, immersive simulations, gamified content, real-world case studies, interactive discussion forums, and seamless virtual delivery, the program offers a rich and engaging social learning environment.
Is there any flexibility in schedule for those pursuing another degree or job?
The BBA(DBE) Programme is primarily an online, asynchronous program, providing learners the flexibility to access course materials at their convenience, from anywhere. However, there will be live sessions, each lasting 90 minutes, held approximately twice a week between Monday and Saturday during evening hours (5:00 PM to 8:30 PM). These sessions are designed to foster engagement and interaction. For learners who are unable to attend live, session recordings will be made available on the course platform.
How many hours of effort is required from my end to complete the programme?
It is advisable to allocate approximately 12–15 hours per week to effectively engage with the program’s learning materials and activities.
How will you conduct the assessments?
Throughout the course, you will encounter ungraded activities and exercises designed to help reinforce and revise your learning. These can be attempted at your convenience as you progress through the modules. In addition, Continuous Learning Assessments (CLAs)—which may be graded and timed, as per the Institute’s discretion—will be administered online. These assessments may be either proctored or unproctored. End-term assessments will be conducted as in-person, proctored examinations across multiple cities in India. These will be held over a span of 2–3 days at the end of each trimester. Learners will be required to travel to the nearest designated exam center for their respective trimester-end assessment.
Is there a minimum live session attendance policy and will it count towards my final grades?
You are strongly encouraged to attend all live sessions conducted as part of the courses. These sessions, held at regular intervals throughout the program, provide valuable opportunities for engagement and deeper understanding of the material. You will be informed of the schedule well in advance to help you plan accordingly. While attendance at live sessions is not currently graded, consistent low participation may lead to the inclusion of session-related questions in graded assessments to ensure engagement with key content.
Can I get some information regarding the grading rubric of the courses? What happens if I am unsuccessful in a particular course?
Comprehensive information will be provided in the Program Manual, which will be shared with all learners upon commencement of the program. Additionally, each course will include its own syllabus and grading policy page to offer further clarity on course-specific expectations.
Will I get to interact with the faculty directly?
Yes. You will get opportunities to interact with the faculty during online live sessions.
